Terms & Conditions policy.

Effective Date: 7.1.2026

By enrolling in tutoring services, reading groups, math classes, or any other educational programs offered by Mrs Emily Teaches, parents/guardians and students agree to the following terms and conditions:

Services Offered

Mrs. Emily Teaches offers educational support services including but not limited to:

  • One-on-one tutoring

  • Small group instruction

  • Reading groups

  • Math classes

  • Seasonal or special educational programs

Services are designed to support learning and academic growth but do not guarantee specific educational outcomes or grades.

Registration and Enrollment

Enrollment is considered complete once:

  • Registration information has been submitted

  • Payment requirements have been met

  • Required forms have been completed

Placement in classes or groups is subject to availability.

Payment Terms

Payment is due according to the schedule discussed with Mrs Emily during registration. Invoices are able to be sent out monthly or weekly.

Accepted payment methods include online credit card payments, Venmo, or direct billing of homeschool or charter school programs.

If you plan to use direct billing services, please discuss in advance with Mrs Emily.

Late payments may result in:

  • Temporary suspension of services

  • Loss of reserved tutoring times

  • Delayed enrollment in future programs

Mrs Emily Teaches will provide receipts at the time of payment.

Mrs Emily Teaches reserves the right to adjust pricing with advance notice.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Parents/guardians must provide at least 24 hours notice for session cancellations.

Sessions cancelled within the required notice period may be rescheduled based on availability for no additional fees.

Sessions missed without any or sufficient notice are considered forfeited and do not qualify for a makeup session.

Mrs Emily Teaches reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

Attendance and Late Arrivals

Students are expected to attend sessions on time and prepared to participate.

Students arriving late may receive a shortened session to avoid impacting other scheduled students.

Makeup Sessions

Makeup sessions for cancellation or missed sessions are subject to scheduling availability and agreed upon payment terms as outlined above.

Mrs Emily Teaches is not able to guarantee makeup availability for any missed sessions.

Unused sessions or makeup opportunities do not carry over indefinitely.

Online Session Requirements

For virtual tutoring and classes:

  • Students should join using a functioning device with internet access

  • Students should participate in an appropriate learning environment whenever possible

  • Camera use may be encouraged for instructional purposes

Technology difficulties beyond reasonable control may require rescheduling at the discretion of Mrs Emily Teaches.

In-Person Tutoring and Group Class

Requirements For in-person tutoring sessions and group classes:

  • Students should arrive on time and be prepared with any required materials, books, homework, or supplies.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring students are dropped off and picked up promptly at the scheduled times unless other arrangements have been made. Late pick ups of 10+ minutes are subject to a $10 late fee for every ten minutes past the scheduled pick up time.

  • Students are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior toward instructors, classmates, and the learning environment.

  • To help maintain a positive and productive learning space, disruptive behavior may result in a parent conference or removal from a session if necessary.

  • Students who are ill or experiencing symptoms of contagious illness should remain home and follow the cancellation or makeup policy.

  • Mrs Emily Teaches is not responsible for personal items that are lost, damaged, or left behind during sessions or classes.

  • For safety reasons, only enrolled students may participate in tutoring sessions or classes unless prior arrangements have been approved.

Mrs Emily Teaches reserves the right to discontinue services if repeated issues with attendance, behavior, safety expectations, or policy compliance occur.

Student Conduct Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Show respect toward instructors and classmates (if applicable)

  • Participate appropriately

  • Follow directions during sessions

  • Use respectful language and behavior

Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from a session or program.

Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

Parents/guardians agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact information and notify Mrs Emily of any changes ASAP

  • Communicate relevant concerns

  • Support student attendance and participation

  • Review policies and program information

Refund Policy

Payments for completed services are non-refundable.

Refunds for prepaid services, classes, or programs will be handled according to the published refund policy.

Privacy

Mrs. Emily Teaches values family privacy and will not share student information with third parties except as required by law.

Student names, photographs, work samples, or testimonials will not be used publicly without parent/guardian permission.

Limitation of Responsibility

Mrs. Emily Teaches provides educational support services and does not guarantee academic outcomes, test scores, or school placement results.

Policy Changes

Mrs Emily Teaches reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted and become effective upon publication.

By registering for and attending services, parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
